Aircraft Data Viewer Version 3.1 Available for MAP Subscribers


This software upgrade is for Aircraft Data Viewer MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program) subscribers with an Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0.X install ONLY.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have an AUTHORIZED version of Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0.X installed BEFORE you attempt to complete the upgrade.
This is a 61 MB file. Download time using 8 Mbit/s download speed is under 2 minutes.

  • Network: Windows® Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 
Standalone Upgrade
  1. Download the ADV310_29.zip file to the workstation where Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0.X has been installed/authorized.
  2. Unzip the ADV310_29.zip file.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Launch Aircraft Data Viewer 3.
  8. Click About Aircraft Data Viewer from the Help section of the Aircraft Data Viewer menu.
  9. Click the License Info.
  10. Verify that the installed version is Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1.0.29 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  11. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1.
 
Network Upgrade
  •  ATTENTION: To better support you with your large network deployment, we recommend that you contact technical support at supportaviation@transoftsolutions.com to discuss your various options.
   
  1. Download the ADV310_29.zip file to the server where Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0.X has been installed/authorized.
  2. Unzip the ADV310_29.zip file.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Start.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1.
  8. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft Solutions\License Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  9. Enter the server name (default is localhost) or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  10. Select Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1 as the product that you wish to administrate.
  11. Verify that the installed version is Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1.0.29 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  12. Proceed to the Workstation Upgrade
   
Workstation Upgrade
  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the Aircraft Data Viewer 3 shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Launch Aircraft Data Viewer 3.
  7. Click About Aircraft Data Viewer from the Aircraft Data Viewer File tab.
  8. Click the License Info button.
  9. Verify that the installed version is now Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1.0.29 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  10. Repeat steps 1 - 9 on each workstation where Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1 is to be installed
NOTE: Optionally, you can upgrade workstations to Aircraft Data Viewer 3.1 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the ADV310_29.zip file.
