AviPLAN Airside 2.0 Available for MAP Subscribers


This software upgrade is for AviPLAN Airside MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program) subscribers with an AviPLAN Airside 1.0 or 1.1 install ONLY.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have an AUTHORIZED version of AviPLAN Airside 1.0 or 1.1 installed BEFORE you attempt to complete the upgrade.
This is a 168 MB file. Download time using 8 Mbit/s download speed is under 5 minutes.

What's New in AviPLAN Airside 2.0:
Note: Drawings written by AviPLAN Airside 2.0 cannot be opened with previous versions of the software!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 
Standalone Upgrade
  1. Download the AVPA200_46.zip file to the workstation where AviPLAN Airside 1.0 or 1.1 has been installed/authorized.
  2. Unzip the AVPA200_46.zip file.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Launch AviPLAN Airside 2.
  8. Click About AviPLAN Airside from the Help menu.
  9. Click the License Info.
  10. Verify that the installed version is AviPLAN Airside 2.0.0.46 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  11. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of AviPLAN Airside 2.0.
 
Network Upgrade
ATTENTION: To better support you with your large network deployment, we recommend that you contact our Technical Support team (web form: www.transoftsolutions.com/technical-support or email: supportaviation@transoftsolutions.com) to discuss your various options.
   
  1. Download the AVPA200_46.zip file to the server where AviPLAN Airside 1.0 or 1.1 has been installed/authorized.
  2. Unzip the AVPA200_46.zip file.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Start.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process .
  7. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install AviPLAN Airside 2.0.
  8. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft Solutions\License Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  9. Enter the server name (default is localhost) or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  10. Select AviPLAN Airside 2.0 as the product that you wish to administrate.
  11. Verify that the installed version is AviPLAN Airside 2.0.0.46 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  12. Proceed to the Workstation Upgrade
   
Workstation Upgrade
  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the AviPLAN Airside 2 shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Launch AviPLAN Airside 2.
  7. Click About AviPLAN Airside from the Help menu.
  8. Click the License Info button.
  9. Verify that the installed version is now AviPLAN Airside 2.0.0.46 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  10. Repeat steps 1 - 9 on each workstation where AviPLAN Airside 2.0 is to be installed.
NOTE: Optionally, you can upgrade workstations to AviPLAN Airside 2.0 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the AVPA200_46.zip file.
