ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have an opening for a Business Development Manager at our office in Shanghai, China. Under the general direction of VP, APAC and in close collaboration with head office sales and marketing teams, the Business Development Manager is responsible for maximizing the marketplace for Transoft Solutions’ products sold in China.

The objective of this role is to grow revenues through a combination of direct and indirect sales. This will be achieved through generating leads, qualifying and selling software solutions, client relationship management and assisting our reseller partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre- and post-sales support for customers and resellers; assist with management of reseller and end-user events on a regional basis.实现销售和盈利目标;通过现有和新的客户渠道产生业务。
  • Promote the business of Transoft by building and nurturing relationships with new and existing customers in China; calling on key accounts, attending business meetings, making customer presentations and attending exhibits in China.通过在中国建立和培养新客户或现有客户的良好关系推动Transoft业务;在国内拜访主要客户、出席商务会议、进行客户演示以及参加展览。
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets; generate business through existing and new customer channels. 为客户和经销商提供售前售后支持;协助区域内经销商和终端用户的管理事宜。
  • Develop and implement sales plans for the China region; research and assist with opportunities for company’s products in China.
  • 制定和实施中国地区销售计划;研究和协助公司产品在中国发展的机会。
  • Identify and analyse potential sales and distribution agents; negotiate and close contracts with qualified agents for Transoft products within China. 识别和分析潜在的销售和经销代理商;与国内具备资质的合格Transoft 产品代理商洽谈并签订合同。
  • Identify and pursue key opportunities for promotional case studies, product reviews and articles, white papers and press releases. 识别和寻求促销案例研究、产品评论和文章、白皮书和新闻发布的关键机会。
  • Develop field sales and marketing support functions. 开发区域销售和市场营销支持功能。
  • Maintain strong knowledge of competitors in China for all products. 对所有产品在国内的竞争对手信息保持深刻的理解。
  • Coordinate advertising and press materials. 协调广告和新闻宣传材料。

ABOUT YOU

You understand the needs of the transportation engineering community and want to provide them with solutions that will make them more efficient and productive. You have a successful IT technical software sales record that covers both direct and indirect channel sales. Ideally you will have experience selling computer aided design (CAD) related software to small, medium and large corporate clients.

Experience and Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or above.本科及以上学历。
    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or professional experience in Civil or Transportation sectors.工程专业相关资格认证或民用/交通运输部门专业经验。
    • Previous sales and marketing experience; ideally you will have a proven track record in software sales/account management in a business to business environment.具有销售和市场营销经验;最好是在企业对企业交易中具有良好的软件销售/客户管理方面的业绩记录。
    • Good command of English; able to communicate with colleagues in Canada, Australia, Sweden and Netherlands.英语水平良好;能够与加拿大、澳大利亚、瑞典和荷兰的同事顺畅沟通。

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent Mandarin communication skills, both verbal and written and be customer-oriented with excellent presentation skills; communicate well in English with product management and other stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.具备优秀的普通话口头和书面表达能力,以客户为导向的良好沟通和语言表达技巧;能够用英文与产品经理及其他具有不同背景的利益相关者顺畅交流。
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for success. Self-motivated and driven to be successful in the work place and in life.上进心强,有追求成功的热情;在工作和生活中自我激励并追求成功。
  • Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision; Must have the ability to develop relationships in competitive markets.做事主动,能够在直接监督最少的情况下有效地工作;必须有能力在竞争激烈的市场中发展关系。
  • Highly energetic and able to effectively handle stress;精力充沛,能够有效处理压力。
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills; must be resourceful, dependable, detail-oriented, well organised, and a team player.卓越的分析和解决问题的能力;机智、可靠、注重细节、条理清晰并具备团队精神。
  • Knowledge of engineering software is an asset and a background in the aviation industry will be a plus.有工程软件知识优先,有航空业背景更好。
