We currently have an opening for a Business Development Manager at our head office in Richmond, BC.

 

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales and marketing professional who wants to develop with a rapidly growing company.  Working collaboratively with sales, corporate marketing, and product management, the BDM identifies rising business opportunities, builds relationships with prospects with an emphasis on new business growth, and develops and executes customer optimization.   This position develops marketing campaigns and corrals sales team initiatives in the development of robust lead pipelines.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the following areas:

 

  • Identify, analyze, develop and shepherd prospects through the sales pipeline.
  • Align sales team focus towards opportunities, qualify leads, and help to facilitate the close.
  • Correlate customer information and leads from varying internal and external sources, cross reference leads, and prioritize potential opportunities.
  • Engage customer prospects through the features of the product leveraging internal product management and development teams.
  • Manage the marketing aspects of the Business Unit, including designing and executing the methodology and approach, creating and monitor customer feedback mechanisms, apply research strategies to increase focus and alignment of marketing campaigns, and plan and execute trade shows.
  • Collaborate with development, product management, sales team, and corporate marketing to facilitate the execution of Business Unit’s strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Proven track record in the development and growth of sales pipelines.
  • Proven skills in the application of marketing strategies and use of marketing tools.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills; Proven ability to communicate with effect; strong presentation skills, assert and speak and present with confidence, and ability to cold call prospects with confidence and conviction.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with different intrusted internal and external parties, building partnerships, influencing and managing conflicts, and the ability to navigate through competing priorities diplomatic and tactfully to deliver a desired effect.
  • Strong business acumen, optimistic with an ability to set goals, plan and manage projects and priorities, and understanding risk to reward concept.
  • Strong proven ability to research and analytically strategize approaches that benchmark competition.
  • Detailed understanding of CRM and applied computer programs including Microsoft applications.
  • Post-secondary preferred.
