We currently have an opening for a Sales Manager, Americas at our head office in Richmond, BC.


Transoft is looking for a seasoned Sales Manager who has implemented sales practices for maximum revenues by motivating and supporting a dedicated team. The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team meets revenue targets in all market segments: Simulation, Design and Aviation across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan: establish annual sales plans, objectives and targets for the Americas; research and develop growth opportunities and strategies; Identify new market opportunities and develop plans for effective implementation; initiate and maintain open lines of communication with potential customers, industry stakeholders, alliance partners and agent accounts.
  • Lead: Foster a high-performance team; provide effective leadership to create a strong and sustainable sales culture; coach, motivate and mentor team, providing guidance, regular feedback and support to ensure goals and targets can be met; give training and assistance as needed; provide inspiration to achieve top performance.
  • Manage: achieve targets and performance goals; understand and highlight any competitive threats to the business; ensure planned business outcomes are met; strategize to address missed opportunities; measure key performance indicators, adjusting as necessary; nurture relationships with key customers and remain technically informed and promote innovation/opportunities to Business Unit Leaders and development engineers; participate in customer engagement, and product / service department processes.



You are first and foremost a leader. You have a knack for motivating, encouraging and developing your team with energy and enthusiasm. You are a relationship builder, passionate about sales and are always thinking about the customer.

You have previous experience selling technical software sales to both direct and indirect channel sales, (ideally, selling computer aided design (CAD) related software) to small, medium and large corporate clients. You have excellent communication and presentation skills, and business aptitude/acumen.

You absolutely love to win and can’t stand the thought of losing to the competition and that drives you. Possessing an entrepreneurial spirit and drive, you are vibrant and can motivate everyone around you. You ask a lot of questions and are never, ever satisfied with ‘good enough.’

Experience and qualifications:

  • You have a university degree in Marketing, Sales or Business Administration.
  • You’ve been managing a diverse and successful sales team for the last five years in a B2B environment. You have strong experience with volume-based, transactional sales management selling to small and medium enterprise.
  • You have a proven and verifiable track record of sales excellence, preferably within niche-market environments.
  • You can demonstrate superior relationship management skills up and down an organization; you’re boardroom savvy but are equally comfortable at the execution level within customer business.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • You are customer-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills.You have a deep appreciation for, and understanding of, performance metrics to continuously improve sales programs.
  • You are highly analytical and skilled at problem-solving to interpret sales performance and market trend information and can make corrective measures as needed.
  • You have used sales automation tools, and buy into the systemized approach to sales activity tracking.
  • Your enthusiasm and energy is infectious.
  • You have experience with CRM systems.
  • You are a team player and a self-starter. You work effectively with a wide variety of people and can take initiative.
  • You are highly motivated with a passion for success. You handle pressure with grace and enthusiasm.
  • You are able to travel within North, Central and South American (up to 10%) in order to meet with clients, attend trade shows or provide training. 


  • Experience managing a sales team in the high-tech industry
  • Functional experience with Dynamics CRM.
  • Proficient in CAD.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering practices.
