PARKCAD VERSION 5.0 UPGRADE AVAILABLE FOR MAP SUBSCRIBERS


This software upgrade is for ParkCAD MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program) subscribers with a ParkCAD version 4.0 install ONLY. Please ensure that you have an installed version of ParkCAD 4.0 before you attempt to download the upgrade.
This is a 129 MB file. Download time using 8 Mbit/s download speed is around 2 minutes.

What's New in ParkCAD 5.0:

  • Flow Arrows - traffic direction flow arrows (drawn in lot by Generate Lot from Boundary tool)
  • Entrances - new tool for creating dynamic parking lot entrances
  • Evaluate Parking Movements tool - Allows parking stalls in a lot to be evaluated for ease of parking.
  • Hatch Area tool (hatch stalls, aisles, and exclusion zones)
  • Island and perimeter aisle curb options (barrier, curb and gutter)
 
 Insert Symbol tools
  • Insert Symbols Along Geometry (place symbols on a row spine or polyline/complex chain)
  • Insert Symbol Area (place symbols in stalls, islands, and exclusion zones)

Installation Instructions

Standalone Upgrade
  1. Download the PC500_206_English.zip file to the workstation where ParkCAD has been installed.
  2. Unzip the PC500_206_English.zip file.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Load a session of AutoTURN in Autodesk® AutoCAD®, Bentley® MicroStation® or Bricsys® BricsCAD®.
  8. Click Program Settings from the ParkCAD toolbar or menu.
  9. Click the Licensing category.
  10. Verify that the installed version is now ParkCAD 5.0 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  11. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of ParkCAD 5.0.

Network Upgrade
  1. Download the PC500_206_English.zip file to the server where AutoTURN has been installed.
  2. Unzip the PC500_206_English.zip file.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of ParkCAD 5.0.
  8. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft Solutions\License Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  9. Enter the server name or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  10. Select ParkCAD 5.0 as the product that you wish to administrate.
  11. Review the licensing information to verify the installed version of ParkCAD 5.0has been authorized and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  12. Proceed to the Workstation Upgrade.

Workstation Upgrade
  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the ParkCAD 5 shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 on each workstation where ParkCAD 5.0 is to be installed.
Note: Optionally, you can upgrade workstations to ParkCAD 5.0 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the PC500_206_English.zip file.
