GuideSIGN Version 7.0 Available for MAP Subscribers


This software upgrade is for GuideSIGN MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program) subscribers with a GuideSIGN version 6.0, 6.1, or 6.2 install ONLY. Please ensure that you have an installed version of GuideSIGN 6 or higher before you attempt to download the upgrade.
This is a 323 MB file. Download time is approximately up to 30 minutes via T1/DSL.

Installation Instructions
  Standalone Upgrade
  1. Download the GS70_62_GuideSIGN_English.zip file to the workstation where GuideSIGN has been installed.
  2. Unzip the GS70_62_GuideSIGN_English.zip file.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Load a session of GuideSIGN in Autodesk® AutoCAD®, Bentley® MicroStation® or Bricsys® BricsCAD®.
  8. Click Program Settings from the GuideSIGN toolbar or menu.
  9. Click the Licensing category.
  10. Verify that the installed version is now GuideSIGN 7.0 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  11. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of GuideSIGN 7.0.
Network Upgrade
  1. Download the GS70_62_GuideSIGN_English.zip file to the server where GuideSIGN has been installed.
  2. Unzip the GS70_62_GuideSIGN_English.zip file.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of GuideSIGN 7.0.
  8. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft Solutions\License Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  9. Enter the server name or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  10. Select GuideSIGN 7.0 as the product that you wish to administrate.
  11. Review the licensing information to verify the installed version of GuideSIGN 7.0 has been authorized and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  12. Proceed to the Workstation Upgrade.
Workstation Upgrade
  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the GuideSIGN 7 shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 on each workstation where GuideSIGN 7.0 is to be installed.
Note: Optionally, you can upgrade workstations to GuideSIGN 7.0 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the GS70_62_GuideSIGN_English.zip file.
