Aircraft Data Viewer Version 3.0 Available for MAP Subscribers


This software upgrade is for Aircraft Data Viewer and Aircraft Data Viewer+ MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program) subscribers ONLY.  Please ensure that you have an installed version of Aircraft Data Viewer before you attempt to download the upgrade.
This is a 41.6 MB file. Download time is approximately up to 5 minutes via T1/DSL.

NOTE: BEFORE YOU GET STARTED:
  • Install Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0 using the new Aircraft Data Viewer License Number and CD Key which were sent to you in an email.

System Requirements:
  • Full support for 32 and 64-bit operating systems
  • Workstation: Windows® XP, Windows® Vista, Windows® 7, Windows® 8/8.1, Windows® 10
  • Network: Windows® Server 2003, 2008 (32, 64-bit), 2008 R2 - 2012 R2 (64-bit)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 
Standalone Upgrade
  1. Download the SKS10_54_English.zip file to the workstation where SkySAFE is to be installed.
  2. Unzip the SKS10_54_English.zip file.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. In order to authorize Aircraft Data Viewer, please follow the instructions below in Authorization.
  8. Launch Aircraft Data Viewer.
  9. Click About Aircraft Data Viewer from the Help section of the Aircraft Data Viewer menu.
  10. Click the License Info.
  11. Verify that the installed version is SkySAFE 1.0 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  12. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of SkySAFE 1.0
 
Network Upgrade
  •  ATTENTION: To better support you with your large network deployment, we recommend that you contact technical support at supportaviation@transoftsolutions.com to discuss your various options.
   
  1. Download the SKS10_54_English.zip file to the server where Aircraft Data Viewer is to be installed.
  2. Unzip the SKS10_54_English.zip file.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Start.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. In order to authorize Aircraft Data Viewer, please follow the instructions below in Authorization.
  8. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0.
  9. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft Solutions\License Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  10. Enter the server name (default is localhost) or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  11. Select Aircraft Data Viewer as the product that you wish to administrate.
  12. Verify that the installed version is Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  13. Proceed to the Workstation Upgrade
   
Workstation Upgrade
  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the Aircraft Data Viewer 3 shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 on each workstation where Aircraft Data Viewer is to be installed.
    • NOTE: Optionally, you can upgrade workstations to Aircraft Data Viewer 3.0 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the SKS10_54_Engish.zip file.
   

AUTHORIZATION

  • NOTE: It may take up to 24-48 business hours to process authorization requests. During this time, Aircraft Data Viewer and/or Obstacle Surface Planner may not be operational. It is recommended that this is taken into consideration when choosing a suitable time to complete the Authorization process.
   
Standalone License
  1. On the workstation where Aircraft Data Viewer is installed, run the License Utility shortcut from the Start Menu > Programs > Simtra Obstacle Surface Planner folder or browse to the \Program Files (x86)\Simtra AeroTech\Obstacle Surface Planner v1 folder and run OSPLicenseUtility.exe
  2. Click Deactivate… from the License
  3. Click Yes to confirm license deactivation.
  4. IMPORTANT: Copy the deactivation code and paste it into a new email.
  5. Launch Aircraft Data Viewer in Autodesk® AutoCAD®.
  6. Take a screen shot of the Program Authorization dialog box (do not click the Request Authorization button) and paste it into the email created in step 4.
  7. Send the email to supportaviation@transoftsolutions.com.
  8. Await further instructions.
   
Network License
  1. On the network server where the Simtra License Server is installed, run the License Utility shortcut from the Start Menu > Programs > Simtra AeroTech > Simtra License Server folder or browse to the \Program Files (x86)\Simtra AeroTech\Simtra License Server\ folder and run LicenseUtility.exe.
  2. Click Deactivate… from the License
  3. Click Yes to confirm license deactivation.
  4. IMPORTANT: Copy the deactivation code and paste it into a new email.
  5. On the network server where the Transoft Solutions License Server is installed, run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft Solutions\License Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  6. Enter the server name (default is localhost) or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  7. Select SkySAFE as the product that you wish to administrate.
  8. Take a screen shot of the License Server Administration Tool dialog box (including the License Information section) and paste it into the email created in step 4.
  9. Send the email to supportaviation@transoftsolutions.com.
  10. Await further instructions.
