Objective: Combining a lecture experience with hands-on learning, this course introduces students to AutoTURN: vehicle turn simulation and swept path analyses software. This course will familiarize users with the operation of AutoTURN in transportation designing and planning.

Outline: Understanding AutoTURN’s multifaceted settings and parameters • Exploring AutoTURN vehicle libraries • Overview of the AutoTURN SmartPath tool set • How to perform vehicle reverse maneuvers • Running vehicle animation for presentations • Setting and applying vehicle dimensions • Generating turning templates using AutoTURN • Hands-on exercise will be provided

AutoTURN 7.0 – WEB-BASED TRAINING: ADVANCED

Objective: Upon completion of AutoTURN Essentials session, students can further develop their skills in the AutoTURN Advanced module. Follow along and apply hands-on type learning with this that course explores the advanced features within AutoTURN.

Outline: Learning to use the AutoTURN Path Control tool • Placing vehicle offset simulations in AutoTURN • How to edit pre-drawn vehicle paths • How to analyze vehicle offset paths • Creating paths along pre-drawn elements • Using advanced visual reports • Creating complex custom vehicles using AutoTURN • Hands-on exercise will be provided
