What is the difference between the CD Key, Installation Code, and Authorization Key?

How can I become more familiar with ParkCAD?

ParkCAD ships with interactive step-by-step tutorials and example files. Play the various tutorials to see what ParkCAD can do. Click Tutorials on the ParkCAD menu or toolbar. Also, check our website Training Services page for Self-Paced, Live Online or Classroom Training options.

Why won't ParkCAD accept my boundary?

The first step is to ensure that the lines making up your boundary are on the two layers indicated in Properties for the Physical and Access layers. By default, these are PCPHYSICAL and PCACCESS, but you can set them to whatever you require - just ensure your lines are on the layers you have specified. The second step is to ensure that the boundary lines either meet (i.e. using the AutoCAD® drawing tools: Fillet of radius 0, Trim, or Extend) or cross (i.e. the endpoints extend beyond the meeting point).

Can ParkCAD help me meet ADA requirements?

Yes - in terms of parking stall sizes, you can either:
a. Create a new parking standard within ParkCAD that includes all of the different layouts needed, or
b. Edit selected parking stalls to conform to custom sizes that meet the ADA requirements.

Can I use AutoCAD® tools on the ParkCAD elements I have created?

You must first explode the ParkCAD elements if you want to modify the geometry with AutoCAD® tools. We suggest that you experiment with the ParkCAD Edit tools before resorting to this, however, as ParkCAD will not recognize them once exploded.

How do I change the colors of the default layers ParkCAD creates?

Use the AutoCAD® Layer Properties Manager (Layer command). Alternatively, you can also use the Properties tool on the ParkCAD toolbar.
