SkySAFE 1.1 Available for MAP Subscribers

This software upgrade is for SkySAFE MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program) subscribers with a SkySAFE 1.0.X install ONLY.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have an AUTHORIZED version of SkySAFE 1.0.X installed BEFORE you attempt to complete the upgrade.
This is a 48 MB file. Download time using 8 Mbit/s download speed is under 2 minutes.

SkySAFE 1.1 Software Upgrade

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

Standalone Upgrade
  1. Download the SKS110_103.zip file to the workstation where SkySAFE 1.0.X has been installed/authorized.
  2. Unzip the SKS110_103.zip file.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Launch SkySAFE 1.
  8. Click About SkySAFE from the Help menu.
  9. Click the License Info.
  10. Verify that the installed version is SkySAFE 1.1.0.103 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  11. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of SkySAFE 1.1.

 

Network Upgrade
  •  ATTENTION: To better support you with your large network deployment, we recommend that you contact technical support at supportaviation@transoftsolutions.com to discuss your various options.

 

 

  1. Download the SKS110_103.zip file to the server where SkySAFE 1.0.X has been installed/authorized.
  2. Unzip the SKS110_103.zip file.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Start.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install SkySAFE 1.1.
  8. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft SolutionsLicense Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  9. Enter the server name (default is localhost) or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  10. Select SkySAFE 1.1 as the product that you wish to administrate.
  11. Verify that the installed version is SkySAFE 1.1.0.103 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  12. Proceed to the Workstation Upgrade

 

 

Workstation Upgrade
  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the SkySAFE 1 shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Launch SkySAFE 1.
  7. Click About SkySAFE from the Help menu.
  8. Click the License Info button.
  9. Verify that the installed version is now SkySAFE 1.1.0.103 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  10. Repeat steps 1 – 9 on each workstation where SkySAFE 1.1 is to be installed

NOTE: Optionally, you can upgrade workstations to SkySAFE 1.1 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the SKS110_103.zip file.
