SkySAFE 1.0.1 Software Update

This software update is for SkySAFE 1.0 users ONLY. Please ensure that you have an installed version of SkySAFE 1.0 before you attempt to download the update.

Do I need to update?
We recommend that you apply this update if you currently have SkySAFE 1.0 installed. You can check your SkySAFE version number using the following instructions:

  1. Start SkySAFE on a Workstation
  2. From the Help section of the SkySAFE menu, click on About SkySAFE

Installation Instructions

Standalone Update

  1. Download the SKS101_85_English.zip file to the workstation where SkySAFE has been installed.
  2. Unzip the SKS101_85_English.zip.
  3. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Standalone License option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Launch SkySAFE in Autodesk® AutoCAD®.
  8. Click About SkySAFE from the Help section of the SkySAFE menu.
  9. Click the License Info button.
  10. Verify that the installed version is now SkySAFE 1.0.1 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  11. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of SkySAFE 1.0.1.

 

Network Update

  1. Download the SKS101_85_English.zip file to the server where SkySAFE 1.0 has been installed.
  2. Unzip the SKS101_85_English.zip.
  3. Login on to the server with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select Set up a Network License option and click on Start.
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  7. Browse to the SkySAFE 1 ServerWorkstation folder, right click on the SetupWorkstation.exe file, select Properties, and verify that the Modified Date is May 18, 2017.
  8. Save the ZIP file to an archive location on the network or burn the file to a CDROM/USB drive to be used in the event that you need to re-install or perform a new install of SkySAFE 1.0.1.
  9. Run the License Server Administration Utility shortcut from the Start Menu or browse to the Transoft SolutionsLicense Server folder and run LicenseServerAdminTool.exe.
  10. Enter the server name (default is localhost) or IP address and communications port (default is 27099) for the License Server system.
  11. Select SkySAFE as the product that you wish to administrate.
  12. Verify that the installed version is SkySAFE 1.0.1 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  13. Proceed to the Workstation Update.

 

Workstation Update

  1. Login to a workstation with an account that affords administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the SkySAFE 1 Server shared folder on the network server.
  3. Browse to the Workstation folder and run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Launch SkySAFE in Autodesk® AutoCAD®.
  7. Click About SkySAFE from the Help section of the SkySAFE menu.
  8. Click the License Info button.
  9. Verify that the installed version is now SkySAFE 1.0.1 and the Maintenance Contract expiration date is still valid (has not passed).
  10. Repeat steps 1 – 9 on each workstation where SkySAFE 1.0.1 is to be installed.

Note: Optionally, you can update workstations to SkySAFE 1.0.1 using the MSI installer which is generated during the server installation. This option is described in the Readme.txt which is part of the SKS101_85_English.zip file.
