An Introduction to AutoTURN 5.1 Webcast [from November 20, 2007]

This AutoTURN presentation originally presented to a live audience introduces the viewer to the latest tools within AutoTURN 5.1 and how this powerful tool can be used to generate swept path vehicle analysis. It covers the following features:

• Using SmartPath tools to generate vehicle simulations.
• Generating ‘real-world’ tight turning condition maneuvers using oversteer corner simulations.
• Using SmartPath tools to accurately generate reverse maneuvers with ease.

ParkCAD 3.0 and AutoTURN 5.1 for Efficient Site Design [from June 14, 2007]

The new ParkCAD 3.0 webcast, originally presented to a live audience, takes viewers through an existing site design and optimizes the area for parking with ParkCAD 3.0’s SmartL.O.T process. ParkCAD operations are discussed for standards, parking creation, dynamic editing, and basic workflow concepts to design for maximum parking yield. AutoTURN 5.1 is then utilized to perform vehicle access checks into the site, as well as navigation to critical service locations (examples: loading docks, underground fueling, garages). Conflicts are discussed and design solutions are reviewed.

Roundabout Design Using AutoTURN [from May 23, 2006]

Originally presented at the iHEEP conference in 2005, this 40 minute webcast outlines the basics of using AutoTURN to help design a single lane urban roundabout. From the initial outline, AutoTURN will allow you to accurately determine the inside and outside radii of the roundabout. It will also allow you determine the area of the transversable apron using the largest design vehicle expected to enter the intersection.
