Transoft Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system (ISMS).
ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for managing information security and is essential for companies that prioritize the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their information.
For companies, obtaining ISO/IEC 27001 certification demonstrates a commitment to maintaining high security standards, helping to reduce the likelihood of data breaches, financial loss, and reputational damage. This official recognition will further boost trust and strengthen our business competitiveness ─ as many clients, especially in regulated industries, prefer to work with organizations that can prove they take information security seriously. It assures them that their sensitive data is protected through established security protocols and that the company is compliant with industry best practices and legal requirements.
In an age where cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated, ISO/IEC 27001 certification provides peace of mind, ensuring the company is safeguarding clients’ information effectively and has mechanisms in place to proactively identify and address weaknesses.
This project was identified as one of the key initiatives in Transoft’s 2024 operations plan. Transoft worked with a third-party accredited firm DNV to verify that all requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard were met. The process from start to finish took over 18 months and would not have been possible without a dedicated Standards Management Committee that effectively managed and implemented this project.
Transoft is proud to be part of an exclusive group in North America having achieved this standard. Although such certifications are more common in Europe, according to the most recent statistics in the ISO 2023 Survey, only 240 companies in Canada and 1898 in the USA have achieved this certification.
