Transoft and Canada’s Smart Cities Challenge

Feb 26, 2019

The City of Richmond is in pursuit of $10 million from Infrastructure Canada’s Smart Cities Challenge, and we are proud to contribute to a project that will ultimately deliver the following project outcomes for those who live, work, and play in Richmond:

  • Protect our island city
  • Integrate emergency communication platforms
  • Bridge language barriers
  • Create scalable mobility systems

Through our participation on the City’s Smart Cities Challenge Advisory Committee, Transoft Solutions will contribute by offering our knowledge in the field of transportation engineering and software development to help with transportation related improvements in the bid for the city of Richmond.

Our company was founded in Richmond and our global headquarters is located here.  We take Business Continuity Planning seriously and we did numerous tests to improve our own preparedness.  The Smart Cities initiative, as proposed by City of Richmond will increase preparedness in dealing with disaster and emergency situations –  improving the quality of life for everyone who lives in this area.
