ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join a dynamic and high-achieving  team. Ideally the candidate should be based in Belgium. Candidates located in The Netherlands (Rotterdam), Sweden (Gothenburg) and UK (Alcester) are also welcome to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in the design of entire modules of our applications based on user requirements
• Development and integration of the modules into the final applications
• Supporting customers using the applications
• Depending on your skill set and personal interests, liaising with customers with a possibility of international travel
• Contributing to team achievement by sharing your expertise

You are a dynamic and talented Software Developer. You are an energetic individual with excellent communication, a great developer’s attitude, and a strong work ethic. • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in designing/choosing appropriate data structures and algorithms
• Experience in:
  • Developing large desktop applications and client/server applications
  • Developing critical operational software that runs 24/7
  • End-to-end testing and unit testing
  • Designing and debugging multi-threaded applications
  • Linux and bash scripting
  • Java networking (TCP/UDP sockets, web services, messaging services)
  • HMI/GUI design using Java AWT/Swing
• Willingness to question user requirements and ability to foresee problems
• Ability to quickly get to grips with a large codebase
