AviPLAN & SkySAFE Perpetual License & Maintenance Assurance Program (MAP) Phase Out

In 2020, Transoft Solutions announced our decision to discontinue sales of perpetual licenses effective 2025. Although we have offered perpetual licenses to our customers for over 30 years, more and more of our customers have embraced subscription licensing for its greater flexibility and better management capabilities.

Transoft Solutions will complete our migration to a subscription licensing model from January 1st 2025 for AviPLAN and SkySAFE. As a result, new perpetual licenses and maintenance (MAP) sales will no longer be available. Support under the Maintenance Assurance Program (MAP) will also end when current agreements expire.

What should I do if I have a Perpetual license and MAP?

• Your Account Manager can assist you in the process and provide more details around the subscription license model, including early conversion pricing options for your organization.
• We recommend that you act soon to ensure plenty of time for a smooth transition to the new licenses to avoid any disruption to your team’s engineering projects.

How much will it cost to switch to Subscription?

• The cost for the MAP Conversion to Subscription depends on your current license type (Standalone SUL or Network SL). Generally, you can expect the conversion price to be in line with your annual MAP costs, depending on when you convert.
• From 2025 onwards, conversion to subscription will be subject to price indexation, with potential adjustments to costs.

What happens if I don’t convert by the deadline?

• Once your current MAP expires, you will no longer be eligible to receive technical support and software updates for your Transoft software. As updates to your CAD platform are released, the software may no longer work as intended.
• To secure the best pricing and continued support, we recommend converting to the subscription model as soon as possible.
