World leader in transportation engineering software responds to growing UK market needs

Transoft Solutions is a global leader in the development of transportation design software, delivering solutions for vehicle swept path analysis, road and junction design, landscape and site design, signage and road markings, and airside design and operations. To meet Transoft’s growing UK business needs, Transoft has made strategic investments to better support its customers and their projects.

Martin Quigley, Transoft’s General Manager for the UK, explains “Since acquiring Design Pro Software in 2017, we’ve made great strides in adding the right content and capability to our technology, including advance BIM modelling capabilities, based on our customers’ feedback and the need to help projects get delivered faster and more smoothly.  The Design Pro acquisition has resulted in building out our team here in the UK to offer even more local support and real specialism and has necessitated a move to a larger office in the Manchester area.”

As a result, Transoft UK has recently released new UK vehicle templates for AutoTURN’s swept path analysis as well as updated its DesignPro Signing and Marking products to ensure that UK designers can deliver their projects more easily than ever with access to the thousands of signs and markings within the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 (T.S.R.G.D.).

Martin’s extensive knowledge of the UK sign and line industry is complemented by the addition of Mike Hutt who joins Transoft as the Business Development Manager for the UK. Mike, who brings a wealth of experience, particularly relating to swept path analysis, having held strategic positions with TRL, Savoy Computing and more recently Autodesk, had this to say “It’s critical to understand the nuances and pressures facing our customers within the UK right now, and being able to bring some of this perspective to Transoft, a company that for many years has been a specialist in vehicle swept path technology, is incredibly exciting. Aside from the headline-grabbing abnormal work load we support, the vast majority of the UK’s highways, residential and commercial development projects simply cannot be signed off without swept path analysis; Transoft are simply the go-to people for this requirement.”
