Conduct a Comprehensive Site Analysis
Assess site constraints early in the design process with KeySCAPE’s Site Analysis ribbon. Create a 3D surface from survey data, point clouds, or publicly available data—then analyse for elevation, slope, aspect, water run-off, and flooding potential, while evaluating impacts of new features to be placed within the landscape. With KeySCAPE’s powerful modelling functions, you can calculate volumes to optimise your site design.
Design your Planting Scheme
The Softworks ribbon features every tool you need to envision and layout your planting scheme. KeySCAPE’s extensible database contains more than 9,500 plants that allows you to quickly specify and insert individual specimens, hedges, planting beds, and grass areas into your drawing. Single and drawing-wide, modifications are easily handled, ensuring your issued drawing is up to date and accurate.
Specify Paving Types
Sometimes a hatch pattern isn’t enough to accurately communicate your paving design intent. KeySCAPE’s Paving ribbon allows you to specify and delineate continuous, brick, or modular unit paving, based on defined brick sizes and standard laying patterns.
Calculate Carbon Capture
With KeySCAPE, you can estimate the amount of carbon that has been embodied to implement and maintain your project and estimate the amount of carbon that could be sequestered by your chosen planting. This information can be projected forward to calculate the time to achieve carbon neutrality.
Use Built-in Block and Detail Libraries
While all the major KeySCAPE tool sets come with pre-loaded data, symbols, and specification styles, you can also create your own categories, product data, CAD standards, and symbol and detail libraries. Stored within your personalised database, this information can then be shown in labels and schedules, as well as exported to various collaborative formats for sharing with your team.

Rootballs and Tree Pits
KeySCAPE RT allows you to define the rootball size and shape for individual plants or to set a below ground depth to generally represent the rootball zone below planting beds, hedges, and grass areas. For Specimens, you can also include a tree pit with a walled frame and define layers of in-fill.
Simulate Plant Growth Over Time
When using the KeySCAPE RT specific families and extruded visual representations, you can simulate growth over time—from planted specification height and spread to mature height and spread—to determine the impact of your proposals for any number of years after planting.
Control the Level of Graphic Detail
KeySCAPE RT allows you to set the level of detail on an object-by-object basis so you can control the visual display, and easily switch between simplified or detailed representations for each object. For example, you can represent a site’s planting using high detailed families in the foreground, simplified families in the midground, and extruded planting, draped over the surface, in the background.
Easily Update Species Specifications and Densities
Quickly respond to changing project requirements and plant substitutions using KeySCAPE RT’s Specification Manager. This feature allows you to make updates to all instances of a species specification, planting densities, and mix definitions used in a project.
Project Setup
With the Project Setup feature, you can define default settings and preferred annotation styles for a current project, thereby ensuring everyone working on the project can deliver consistent content that complies with your practice or project standards.
Collaborate With KeySCAPE in AutoCAD
KeySCAPE RT allows cross-platform collaboration with KeySCAPE for AutoCAD. Share the same database to ensure you are working from the same plant palette and export planting plans from KeySCAPE (for AutoCAD) into KeySCAPE RT—it will convert your 2D drawing to equivalent 3D planting features in Revit. KeySCAPE RT allows you to continue to modify, add new content and issue your final model as a Revit project.

Licensing Options
Transoft offers a range of licensing options to help small, sole proprietorships right on up to the largest multinational organisations meet their transportation design and analysis needs.
User Subscription License is a model where a set number of Subscribed Users are assigned dedicated access to the software through their unique logins for the duration of the license term. The software can be installed and used by a Subscribed User on multiple workstations.
Each Subscribed User represents one individual and their login and password, which cannot be shared with other users. Software activation is an easy process and can be done over the Internet.

Team Subscription License is a license option that is intended to support casual or occasional users of the software. The size of a Team Subscription License is represented as a number of allocatable seats.
Why Choose the Team Subscription License Option
While User Subscription Licenses are better for dedicated users, Team Subscription Licenses can be a good complement to these if your organization has occasional, less heavy users of the software.
How it Works
Each user of a Team Subscription License must have an account in the My Transoft Portal to request a license. Internet access is required for this process.
When an end user starts the software product on their workstation, the software will connect to the My Transoft Portal and will determine if any of the seats are available. If a seat is available, it will be allocated and dedicated to that end user who will have unrestricted access to it for 24 hours. At the end of the 24-hour period the seat allocation will automatically expire, and another user will be able to claim it.
Once all the Team Subscription License seats are allocated at a given time, no other end user will be able to use that license until the 24-hour period expires and one of the seats is automatically deallocated.
