For temporary traffic management, different options can be considered or combined when using Line Design Pro UK
Chapter 8 section D3.9.7 Traffic cylinders used to separate opposing flows can be added to a drawing for use in Traffic Management. The Cylinders can be edited during design while dragging or double clicking the marking after they have been added allows further editing-in-place. The cylinders can also be easily turned into 3D and quantified using our one button press technology.
When considering temporary road studs in place of road markings (Chapter 8 – D3.1.7) for poor weather conditions, they are easily designed using the Temporary Road Studs (TRS) Dialog. The frequency of a line of TRS can be adjusted, for example; Creating a line of 4 studs with a custom gap as show in the accompanying image, or a line of evenly spaced studs to suit Chapter 8 requirements.
To safely guide vehicles around an obstruction a temporary delineation of Traffic cones may be used (Chapter 8 – D2.1.8) to give a clear indication of path. Traffic cones can easily be added to a drawing and be edited during design while dragging or double clicking the marking after they have been added allows further editing-in-place. The cones can also be easily turned into 3D and quantified at the press of a button.
