AutoTURN | Pro Tips Using Autoturn To Analyze Envelopes, Clearances & Sightlines Avoiding Potential Issues – Recorded

Over the last few months, we’ve hosted many tips webinars discussing how you can use each feature for your design projects.

In our next webinar on November 27, 2019, at 10am PST, we will discuss how analyzing different types of clearances, envelopes and sightlines will improve the safety aspects of your design.

The ultimate goal of road design is to meet all specifications included in the design guidelines to ensure all vehicles can use the infrastructure safely. One of the most critical aspects of a good design is to avoid obstacles or collisions such as two large vehicles, like a bus or semi-trailer, performing opposing left turns at an intersection; or a vehicle maneuvering a drive-thru restaurant. All these cases may require the designer to analyze various swept path envelopes and provide an additional clearance distance between the vehicle and/or infrastructure for safe maneuverability or passage of the vehicle which otherwise may result in damages to both the vehicle, as well as, safety issues for passengers and pedestrians.

During this webinar, you will learn how to minimize the efforts needed for redesign and ensuring the public of safer driving and pedestrian experience.
