Airport & Airspace Real-Time Forecasting & What-If
Harness fast-time simulations to transform real-time airport operations. WIZer uses live information, such as flight progress messages, radar tracks, weather, A-CDM updates, and more, to provide detailed, up-to-the-minute forecasts of air traffic demand, traffic complexity, and controller workload. WIZer’s sophisticated technology, securely integrated with airport and air traffic control systems, automatically runs fast-time simulations at regular intervals to provide real-time decision support.
The Evolution of Air Traffic Control
Area Control Center (ACC) supervisors, Flow Management Positions (FMPs), air traffic controllers, and airport operators can benefit from WIZer’s predictive capabilities. The leading-edge software repeatedly conducts fast-time simulations of the current traffic situation to obtain a forecast for the next few hours. It calculates the future situation, logging relevant events for flights and for controllers, and delivers warnings when forecasts will exceed defined thresholds. It will also propose air traffic flow and capacity management (ATFCM) measures to balance demand and capacity. Users can perform interactive what-if analyses—to test options to achieve efficient demand capacity balancing (DCB).
Benefits for Our Clients

AirTOP WIZer: Improving Airspace Capacity with Real-Time Insights
Many air travelers may recognize the feeling. You are sitting aboard an aircraft when the pilot announces a 10 or 15-minute departure delay. “Usually, the explanation is that there is a capacity issue,” observes Pier Ferraris, Senior Product Manager at Transoft Solutions. With busier skies on the horizon (in February 2024, EUROCONTROL predicted more than 12 million flights in Europe in 2030), it has never been more important for airspace capacity to work efficiently, while maintaining safety standards. “The more you delay, the more it’s going to have an effect on airlines, airports, and Air Navigation Service…
Making a leap from the simulator to the control room – and back
Written by Alexander Gehres, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, in collaboration with Transoft Solutions Fast-time simulation using live data sources DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, the German air navigation service provider (ANSP), is no stranger to conducting traditional fast-time simulations, having run well over 200 of them — both small and large — throughout the years. DFS’s experience goes beyond traditional applications,…
