AutoTURN

The swept path analysis software trusted most by design professionals

AutoTURN™ is used to confidently analyze road and site design projects including intersections, roundabouts, bus terminals, loading bays, parking lots or any on/off-street assignments involving vehicle access checks, clearances, vehicle tracking and swept path maneuvers.

AutoTURN has been developed by transportation professionals for transportation professionals and is backed by rigorous engineering diligence and regular field tests. As the vehicle swept path analysis software of choice for transportation engineers, planners, drafters, and architects, AutoTURN is used everyday. In fact, many national and local Road Administrations use AutoTURN, making it the defacto standard software of its kind for government agencies.

New Release

AutoTURN 11

The latest release of the industry-leading vehicle swept path analysis and turn simulation software.

What's New in AutoTURN 11
AutoTURN Overview Video
AutoTURN is always moving forward with its technology. Along with new standard vehicle libraries (including NACTO 2013), this version of AutoTURN adds the ability to customize 2D loads and shapes giving our users more design options.

AutoTURN features

Perform reliable reverse manoeuvres
Creating reverse paths for heavy goods vehicles is a task commonly carried out for logistics or retail planning, but it can surely be challenging. AutoTURN allows multiple methods to lay out reverse simulations, offering one for a quick and easy solution or another with full control.
Vehicle Path Control
Designers can make adjustments to a vehicle’s path through manipulation of points along the travel way, allowing for fine-tuning of vehicle position. Sections of the turning simulation can be added or adjusted for increased flexibility. These different editing functions can be used to adjust Arc, Corner and Oversteer path.
SmartPath tools
Innovative SmartPath tools allow the generation of continuous vehicle paths with three interactive drive modes (Arc Path, Corner Path, Oversteer Corner) that incorporate speed, superelevation, lateral friction, and turn radius algorithms for realistic results.
CONFLICT ANALYSIS
Perform vehicle conflict analysis and receive real-time visual feedback on any simulation path obstructions. AutoTURN is able to report conflicts against drawing objects on selected layers (multiple layers are supported at the same time). The conflicts are reported in a dynamic way, giving instant feedback while editing or regenerating the path.
